The Artistic Minds Behind Cooking with Hip Hop

 

duane.jpg Duane Garrett, Jr., Logistics Manager, has honed and sharpened his organizational skills through numerous marketing and promotions positions with organizations including Tommy Boy Records, Straight Drop Entertainment, and Cornerstore Entertainment. A 2006 graduate of Savannah State University, Duane’s current affiliations include serving on the executive board of Ark of the Covenant, a non-profit teen mentoring organization and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. As logistics manager, Duane will fluently manage all resources behind the scenes that help to make Cooking With Hip Hop flawless.

 

pilar.jpgPilar C. Shaw, Producer, moved to Atlanta to begin her matriculation at the Atlanta Broadcasting Institute. Her production career began as an intern with Atlanta’s CBS 46 Action News, working on the 11 o’clock news. Her production resume includes What’s Hot/What’s Not (producer/director/writer) and Underground Access Presents TV & radio show (creator/host). In addition, Pilar does voiceovers and has hobbies that include writing songs, poems and screenplays. The Cooking With Hip Hop audience witnesses Pilar’s work as she takes ideas written on paper and brings them to life through the small screen.

 

MaKisha Funderburke, Assistant, is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Radio, Television and Film. For the past year, MaKisha has worked as an assistant to Arlinda Garrett. In addition, she serves as the internship coordinator and editor for Cooking With Hip Hop.

 

Yele Olaniyi, Nutritionist, is a Website Development and Electronic Technology graduate of Johnson & Wales University. He has gone on to gain first-rate knowledge in nutrition from Georgia State University, while working on a final degree in Sociology. In addition to his studies, Yele works as a freelance Graphic/Web Designer. Yele contributes his knowledge of nutrition by facilitating the online health forums that can be found at: www.cookingwithhiphop.com.

 

Brandon Berksteiner, Camera and Production Assistant, is a recent graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Video Production and a minor in Theatre Performance. Aspiring to become one of the greatest filmmakers in the entertainment industry, Brandon’s ultimate goal is to one day use his life experiences to make a positive change in society. Brandon is proud to be making a difference in the lives of the hip-hop community through contributing his camera and editing expertise to the production success of Cooking With Hip Hop.

 

C.J. Moore, Production Assistant, is a recent graduate of North Springs High School’s performing arts magnet program. He has participated in numerous musical organizations including Muzak and the Georgia Ambassadors of Music. This fall, C.J. will be attending Middle Tennessee State University where he will major in the Recording Industry Major (RIM). As an intern with Cooking With Hip Hop, C.J. Moore gains creative production experience.

 

Temi Kolawole, Website Design and Maintenance, is a young and highly talented web designer with a passion for the internet. He has five years of design experience in entertainment and telecommunications. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Babcock University, the top private university in Nigeria. He has parlayed his freelance web-design experience into Antigravity Inc., an internet company which he runs with a partner as well as contributing to the creative design of www.cookingwithhiphop.com.

*MUST BE AVAILABLE TO MEET TWICE A WEEK IN EVENINGS

*MUST BE A JUNIOR/SENIOR IN COLLEGE & CAN COMPLETE A 10 TO 12 WEEK INTERNSHIP FOR CREDIT ONLY

*BE ABLE TO PROVIDE PORTFOLIO OF RELATIVE EXPERIENCE
